Bodhi Tree
Under the canopy of awakening
Bodhi tree
The Bodhi tree at Bhāvanārām evokes the place of the Buddha's awakening, offering a place for veneration and quiet Dhamma practice.
History
This Bodhi tree is a sapling from Sri Lanka, brought by Phra Ajarn Somthop Parakkamo so the Buddhist community could pay homage and practice beneath it. The ashes of Khun Ya Somsong Pookcharoen are also enshrined beneath the base of the tree.
